Privacy Policy

How For Pets Sake SA looks after your personal information.

Last updated: 24 September 2026

Who we are

For Pets Sake SA is an independent pet shop at 24 Murray Street, Angaston SA 5353, in the Barossa Valley, South Australia. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and in store, how we use it, and how you can contact us about it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

Enquiries. When you use the enquiry form on this website we collect your name, email address, and any phone number and message you choose to give us. If you phone or email us, we collect the details you choose to share.

Orders, special orders and loyalty. If you place an order or special order, or take part in one of our in-store loyalty programs, we record the contact and purchase details needed to look after it.

Technical data. Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages visited) for security and performance.

How we use your information

  • To respond to your enquiries and give advice about products for your pet.
  • To arrange orders, phone orders and special orders.
  • To keep track of your purchases under our in-store loyalty programs.

We collect only what we need, and we never sell or rent your personal information.

Who we share it with

Enquiry form messages are delivered to our shop email by an email delivery service (Resend). If an email can’t be delivered, the enquiry is stored securely in JB Digital Barossa’s client portal so it can be followed up. The website is hosted by Netlify. JB Digital Barossa, the studio that built and looks after this website, receives a copy of each enquiry and logs your name, email address and message in its client portal, so it can check the form is working. Otherwise we only share personal information with service providers who help us run the business, or where the law requires it. We never sell or rent it.

Cookies and embedded services

This website does not use analytics or set its own tracking cookies. The enquiry form may set a small cookie that limits repeat submissions, to stop spam. Two pages show content from other services: the home page shows our Facebook page’s latest posts, and the contact page shows a Google Map of our location. When those load, Facebook (Meta) and Google may set cookies and collect standard technical data under their own privacy policies. If you’d rather they didn’t, you can block third-party cookies in your browser; everything else on the site still works. Our fonts are hosted on this website, so no font service sees your visit.

Storage and security

We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, and we keep it only as long as we need it.

Enquiry forms and follow-up

When you type your email address or phone number into an enquiry or quote form on this website, we save what you have entered so far (your name, contact details and the details of your enquiry), even if you do not press send. We do this only so that For Pets Sake SA can get in touch once to help if your enquiry was interrupted. We never save passwords or payment details. If you clear the form, or tap “Clear” under it, what you typed is deleted. If you do send the form, the unsent copy is deleted straight away. Otherwise, saved details are deleted automatically after 90 days. They are stored securely in Australia by our website provider, JB Digital Barossa, and are not sold, shared or used for marketing lists. To see or delete anything we hold about you, or to ask us not to contact you, email forpetssakesa@gmail.com and we will action it promptly.

Access, correction and questions

You can ask what personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. Call us on 0468 378 344, email forpetssakesa@gmail.com, or ask in store. If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled a privacy concern, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
