Our Beginnings

Owner, Suzanne Luce, started For Pets Sake in the township of Angaston  in the Barossa Valley with a vision of providing the local community with a pet shop that offered quality products at realistic prices, with reliable advice from experienced vet nurses.  Suzanne already owned the local Veterinary Clinic in Angaston, The Vet Clinic, and wanted to be able to bring the two businesses together to provide the clients with a one stop shop for all their pet's needs.

For Pets Sake SA opened its doors on February 23, 2013 located across the road from the previous premise of The Vet Clinic. It started as a small shop but soon grew to fill the 4 room house it continues to trade in today. 

After 3 years, Suzanne's dream of a one stop shop was realized when The Vet Clinic moved into a purpose built facility behind For Pets Sake.

For Pets Sake does not sell pets but rather encourages customers to adopt from the many available rescue centres.  In keeping with this, For Pets Sake opened it's own cat/kitten adoption centre in 2015, helping to find new homes for the many strays and orphans brought in through the clinic.

For Pets Sake continues its tradition of providing experienced advice with excellent customer service.  We continually strive to bring you the best products we can find and keep our range fresh and up to date with the latest products available on the market.  We focus on providing all natural and Australian made treats, foods and products as best we can whilst also supporting many of the local suppliers.
